“But these weren’t the kind of monsters that had tentacles and rotting skin, the kind a seven-year-old might be able to wrap his mind around–they were monsters with human faces, in crisp uniforms, marching in lockstep, so banal you don’t recognize them for what they are until it’s too late.”
― Ransom Riggs, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children
“There are two types of monsters in this universe: Fairy tale monsters that will never hurt you. And human monsters living around you who will never hesitate to harm you.”
― Mouloud Benzadi

Not this kind of monster!
We have monsters around us. Not the kind of children’s nightmares or horror movies. These monsters look like human beings, but they act monstrously. They wear uniforms and suits. Some hide their faces, but some smile at the camera and tell lies. We know they are lying because we have seen the truth.
Here are a few examples:
Ice Brutally Dragged Disabled Woman
On January 24, 2026, Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old ICU nurse, was fatally shot by Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis during a protest against immigration enforcement. Pretti intervened to help a woman confronted by agents. Eyewitnesses and video evidence challenged official reports, triggering public outrage and demands for accountability.
Renee Good, 37, was fatally shot by federal agents on January 7, 2026, after allegedly trying to run them over while her car blocked traffic. Witnesses disagreed with ICE’s charge.
I could go on listing terrible actions by ICE Agents, but the blame falls on many people.
Not all ICE Agents are monsters, but not weeding out the bad actors allows the bad agents to continue their disgusting actions and tarnishes the reputation of the organization. This is true of all organizations – police, education, and government.
Politicians who approved of ICE’s actions and refused to condemn their wrongdoings. Those who remain quiet and by their silence approve of ICE’s wrongdoings.
State and local political figures who support all of ICE’s actions without condemning their wrongdoings.
Politicians who campaign using fear and incorrect labels.
Politicians who cling to the Washington administration and follow it like lemmings over the cliff that is destroying their party.
All Americans who sit silently and who are afraid to speak out about things they see and know are wrong.
I welcome your comments – both good and bad. Please correct me if I have missed something or have erred in my blog. It’s free speech, baby!
