I was recently asked to make a presentation on Civil War sites in Texas. I figured that it would not take to long. After all, there were only five battles in the state that you can visit and these translate into three places Sabine Pass (two battles), Galveston (two battles), and Palmetto Ranch (one). Then I expanded my horizon and the list increased significantly. I decided to share my discoveries and have collected the following information for natives and visitors.
